| Our
Lady of the Lake of
Halifax and
St. Joseph the Worker of Hanson
once again came together to share food, friends and fun. During a
summer plagued by heat and humidity, God was certainly on their side as
the two parishes celebrated in the spirit of the Old Fashioned family
picnic under clear blue skies and warm dry weather.
This annual picnic certainly had something for everyone, whether it was
a full chicken dinner or just a hamburger and a soda the food
couldn’t be beat. (Except maybe by the prices!). There aren't
many places today that you can enjoy music with friends & no
cover charge. |

Kids big and small enjoyed scavenger hunts, moonwalks,
pony rides, horseshoes, face painting and crafts. The races and
contests were especially fun, even when some of the participants turned
their water balloons on nearby adults. However, the pie-eating contest
was the most fun to watch. These kids are cleaver, ingenious and
persistent. Some even stopped to breath. There is too much to tell, so
next August come join us and see for yourself, and because a picture is
worth a thousand words... |
