Our Facilities and Grounds Committee

The FACILITIES AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE provides counsel to the pastor, Finance Council and the Pastoral Council on issues regarding maintenance needs, capital planning, space planning and acquisition and dispositions issues. Some areas of focus of the committee are: Inspects the parish’s facilities, systems and sub-systems and grounds for the purpose of determining maintenance needs and corrective actions; conducts periodic comprehensive inspections of all the parish’s facilities, systems and sub-systems and grounds for the purpose of determining capital improvements planning; encourages, develops and implements a preventative maintenance philosophy and schedule for the care of the parish’s facilities, systems and sub-systems and grounds; maintains a record of inspections and corrective actions, preventative maintenance reports, guarantees and warrantees, equipment manuals and user instructions and capital improvement needs and schedules; develops a capital improvement and replacement schedule for the care of the parish’s facilities, systems and sub-systems and grounds; advises the pastor and Finance Council on specific construction projects within the parish’s facilities; and consults with the pastor, staff, and the Pastoral Council for the purpose of determining special needs of parish programs and allocates space accordingly.
